Florentine’s Coleslaw

Creamy and tangy coleslaw the way Grandma Flo made it.

Time:

3 Tbs. mayonnaise

3 Tbs. white vinegar

3 Tbs. sugar

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. black pepper

1 head of cabbage, shredded or chopped finely

1 carrot, peeled and finely diced

1 small green pepper, seeded, finely diced

In a small bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper until very smooth.

Combine cabbage, carrot, and green pepper in a large bowl.

Pour dressing mixture over vegetables and toss to coat.

Cover and refrigerate salad until cold.

 

This salad is good on day one,

but for the best flavor make it a day ahead.
