Banana Bread


A moist, delicious bread that’s good for breakfast with coffee.

Time: 1 hour 20 mins.

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

3 Tbs. butter

3 Tbs. sour milk or yogurt

1 tsp. baking soda

2 cups flour

1 cup mashed banana


Preheat oven to 350°F.

Using an electric mixer, cream together sugar, eggs, butter, and sour milk.

Add banana and mix well.

Add baking soda and flour to mixer bowl; beat on low speed to incorporate.

Pour dough into a 9 x 5 x3” loaf pan.

Bake for 1 hour.

Test for doneness with a toothpick; bread is done if toothpick comes out clean.

If necessary, continue baking and check for doneness at five-minute intervals.

Cool loaves for 10 minutes before removing them to a rack to finish cooling.
